At our Inn, we require that our guests, regardless of where they reside, comply with all of the following measures:

What you can expect from Harvey House:
In alignment with public health recommendations, Harvey House is taking measures to prevent community spread of COVID-19.  This includes enhanced  cleaning and disinfection procedures, enforcements of requirements to stay, changes to common area usage, breakfast service and housekeeping service during stays.  

Requirements for Reserving Guests:
All persons are now required to  wears a face covering whenever he or she enters, moves about or exits the Inn. If you are not in your guest room, you must be wearing a mask unless you are actively drinking a beverage or actively eating.   Additional requirements include: 
  • The person maintains social distancing at the Inn by keeping a distance of at least 6 feet between himself or herself and all persons who are not in his or her traveling party, including any area where guests or employees queue.
  • The person washes his or her hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or uses hand sanitizer on a frequent, regular basis throughout his or her stay at the Inn.
The person has not experienced or displayed, within the last 24 hours, any of the following symptoms of COVID-19: fever or chills; sore throat, cough, shortness of breath, or other respiratory symptoms; muscle aches or severe fatigue; or change in taste or smell.
The person has not had close contact, within the last 14 days, with anyone who is confirmed to have COVID-19.
Any other person in his or her care who is under the age of 18 or who is dependent on his or her care meets the criteria above.

To help you enjoy your time visiting Oak Park, please review the Covid Phase 4 requirements which apply to all Oak Park Businesses and Individuals.  These requirements are consistent with the State of Illinois Phase 4 requirements:

A. Any individual who is over age two (2) and able to medically tolerate a mask shall be required to wear a mask when in a public place, which for purposes of this Order includes any common or shared space in: (1) a residential multi-unit building; or (2) any non-residential building.

B. Mask refers to a complete and tight-knit fabric or cloth, or medical mask that is appropriately sized for the individual's face to snuggly cover the nasal openings and mouth without the necessity of being held in place by the individual's hands.
C. All patrons in all sectors will continue to count toward capacity limits. No exemption will be made for individuals who are fully vaccinated or have had a recent negative COVID-19 test. Fully vaccinated individuals are exempt from the capacity count for private social events, such as weddings. People are considered fully vaccinated ≥2 weeks after receiving the second dose in a 2-dose series or ≥2 weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine.
4. Establishments that Serve Alcoholic Liquors, Restaurants, Private Clubs, Country Clubs (All businesses that offer food or beverages for on-premises consumption—including, but not limited to, restaurants, grocery stores, and food halls):
A. Indoor service is limited to the lesser of 100 patrons or 50% of capacity per room. A room is a separate and distinct area within an establishment that has transitional elements between the spaces (such as plexiglass, doors, walls, etc.)
B. Food must be available at all times in order to offer indoor service. Establishments that serve alcoholic liquors without a food license can reopen indoors as long as they partner with a food establishment (e.g., making menus available and allowing delivery, allowing patrons to order from third-party delivery services). Indoor and outdoor table size limited to no more than six people.
C. Table placement must allow for parties to be seated six (6) feet apart from one another. Bar seating is allowed with six (6) feet between parties.
D. All staff must be masked at all times. Patrons are required to be masked unless actively eating or actively drinking.
E. Those seated at a bar must be masked and not allowed to sit unmasked unless eating or actively drinking. If a patron is unmasked, a member of the restaurant staff must ask the customer to mask and if not complied with, ask the patron to leave. Failure to require patrons to be masked is a violation of the establishment to operate safely.
F. Patrons must be seated for service. Patrons shall not congregate prior to being seated. Patrons waiting for a table must wait socially-spaced outdoors.
G. Outdoor table size is limited to no more than 10 persons.
H. Outdoor service includes:
1. Rooms with retractable roofs; 
2. Rooftops;
3. Multi-party structures, such as tents, with at least 50% of walls open;
4. Single-party structures, such as igloos, with proper ventilation; and
5. Tables indoors within eight feet of an open wall or window that is at least
50% open to the outdoor air.

COVID Service Fee:
An additional Service Fee of 5% has been added to each reservation.

Housekeeping:
  • Harvey House staff has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting, focusing on the guests rooms and specifically all high-touch surfaces, including all common areas/ communal rooms, public restrooms, switches, handrails, tables, faucets, doorknobs, remote controls and shared keyboards. Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting with attention to these areas helps remove bacteria and viruses, including the novel coronavirus. Staff will practice good hand hygiene before and after cleaning including washing hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
  • We are not currently offering daily housekeeping unless requested and for an additional charge.


Breakfast: 
A Complimentary 'Grab and Go Station' in the common area is provided each morning from 8:00 to 9:30 that includes coffee, tea, packaged pastries, fruit and yogurt. Items can be taken back to your room to be enjoyed, or to the outdoor patio, weather permitting.
